RADION International is an award-winning Singapore-registered Christian relief and development organization that provides short-term assistance and long-term support to vulnerable communities in Asia. Founded in 2007, the organization’s name is derived from “radiating mission” and is a reflection of its foundational Christian values. RADION International holds Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

Mission and approach

  • Mission: RADION’s mission is to be a catalyst for change within neglected and marginalized communities, transforming broken lives so that individuals can in turn help others. It focuses on serving populations that are often underserved due to political, geographical, or social constraints.
  • Methodology: The organization uses an approach called Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD), working with communities and grassroots leaders to identify their strengths and empower them toward self-sufficiency. RADION also works to strengthen social safety nets to create safer, more stable environments.

Key programs and initiatives

  • StreetKIDS! Rehabilitation Shelters: A rescue and recovery program for at-risk children from backgrounds of poverty, abuse, neglect, and substance abuse. It provides them with education, nutrition, and trauma-informed mental health care. The program operates two centers in Thailand, the Dream Center in Phetchabun and the Hope Center in Chiang Mai.
  • Hope Center: An integrated trauma care and family service center in Chiang Mai that offers counseling, therapy, and psychological services to child survivors and families.
  • Community Development Program: Supports social enterprise initiatives and provides skills training, micro-grants, and safe shelter for women who are victims of domestic violence.
  • Hope Scholarship: Provides bursaries to academically gifted students from needy families, with the goal of helping them attend university and eventually contribute back to their communities.
  • Village Outreach Program: A dignity-focused program that provides nursing care, emotional support, and nutrition to critically needy, disabled, and terminally ill individuals.
  • Crisis and Disaster Relief: Provides immediate aid during natural disasters and has responded to events across Asia, including typhoons in the Philippines, floods in Thailand, and earthquakes in Myanmar.
